Lamel Yancy, 17, from North Little Rock, Arkansas, filmed the three-year-old boy holding what appears to be a marijuana cigarette in the backseat of a car.
He then posted in on Facebook, where it was viewed more than 150,000 times before it was taken down by Yancy. The video showed the 17-year-old asking his young nephew if he wanted to smoke the cigarette.
He said: ‘Wanna hit the blunt? You wanna hit the gas. Nephew I got you man… one more time, hit the blunt one more time. Hit that s***. Hit that s***.’The toddler then takes a few puffs before Yancy stops him and takes his cigarette back.
He was also heard saying: ‘Hey, no, that’s enough baby, that’s enough… you gonna kill yourself. He about to smell he high already.’
Yancy has since been arrested by North Little Rock Police and reportedly charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
Sgt Brian Dedrick said: ‘I was disturbed appalled by what I had seen. The child holds this like someone would be smoking so it makes you think this is not the first time this child has been exposed to this.’
