LMC Chairman Escapes Arrest as Police storms Office in Abuja

Officers of the Nigeria Police Force stormed the premises of the League management Company in Abuja yesterday, apparently in an attempt to arrest the LMC chairman and Chief Operation Officer, Shehu Dikko and Salisu Abubakar respectively.

The officers who met a stiff resistance of LMC officials at the entrance of the office were not however able to effect the arrest of the wanted officials as they were all not seen in their offices after the entire premises was searched and taken under siege for over an hour.

The combined team of policemen from the FCT and Plateau state command had stormed the massive edifice in the heart of FCT, which houses both the LMC and La Liga offices at exactly 12.27pm on charter taxi in what appeared to be a disguise, and headed straight to the entrance gate to announce their presence.
