Arsenal Transfer News

Arsene Wenger  who is usually known to be idle during transfer windows (or posing on a beach in Brazil surrounded by fine fine gehs) was definitely busy on the last day of the transfer deadline. The deadline day saw the surprise movement of Jack Wilshere 24, on loan to Bournemouth.

The prolific Arsenal midfielder has appeared in over 100 matches for the clubside and is said to be on loan for the rest of the season. Not a bad move when you consider that Arsenal’s central midfield positions are highly competitive (think Ramsey, Carzola, Xhaka, El-Neny, and Coquelin)

The transfer window also saw the likes of Calum Chambers proceed on loan to Middlesborough and Serge Gnabry sold to Dutch side Werder Bremen.

With all these players moving out, an unlikely Wenger splashed the sum of 35m pounds each on Mustafi and Granit Xhaka, with extra change spent on Lucas Perez and Rob Holding from Bolton who has obviously managed to make the starting eleven ahead of Calum Chambers.

While Wenger might be feeling like a big spender and high roller, he should sha remember that Pogba cost almost as much as all of them…combined!

What are your thoughts on these new signings and is Arsenal set to break the jinx?
