According to the Lagos State Police Command, a 55 year old security guard named Yekini Ogunjobi was arrested was kidnapping a 14 year old girl for four days. During this time, the Police allege that Ogunjobi raped the teenager. Fortunately, her ordeal came to an end when she was rescued from her captor's apartment.
According to the story, the girl, who is an apprentice tailor, was sent on an errand somewhere around Esuola Street, Oko-Oba (Agege), when she was kidnapped by the suspect who lured her into his apartment and hypnotised her.
After waiting in vain for her to return, her family raised alarm and declared her missing. They also notified the police. Luckily for her, she was sighted by a relative who alerted the police, leading to her rescue.
The 55 year old man, in his defense, said that the girl had come to live with him willingly and that he had not kidnapped or coerced her into anything. The suspect has been araigned before a court and is currently awaiting trial.
