More Airline Wahala: First Nation Airlines Suspends Nigerian Operations

According to the Punch Newspapers, First Nation Airlines has suspended its Nigerian operations.  However, the reason that they have given for this is that they want to maintain thier aircrafts. Remember that Aero Contractors, who have been operational in Nigeria from before most of us were born, also suspended thier Nigerian operations yesterday.

While the reason given by First Nation Airlines seems unrelated to the general economic downturn in Nigeria, including the rapidly depreciating currency and spiralling cost of aviation fuel, it will be easy to assume that they had an impact on the airline.

Very soon, Nigerians will have to rely on Ekene Dili Chukwu and De Young for long distance travel. That is, if they do not suspend thier Nigerian operations while we are at it.

Na like this we go dey dey???
