Mob Beats up Suspected Robber Who Stole N500,000 From Supermarket in Abuja

It was a day of reckoning for a suspected thief in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, as luck ran out on him in the process of raiding a shop.

The suspect, simply identified as Illiasu, on Friday at about 2:30pm invaded a supermarket at Jeremia Usani Junction, Gwagwalada, a suburb of Abuja, with his accomplice.

They were said to have successfully stolen about N500, 000 and were about taking off with their motorcycle when a female sales attendant raised the alarm.

Although his yet-to-be-identified accomplice fled, Illiasu fell off the motorcycle and an irate mob pounced on him.

The Kogi State indigene was beaten before he was handed over to the police.
