Balling! Kelechi Iheanacho Earns N2.5 Billion per Annum

Nigerian forward and Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanaco, who was born in 1996 currently earns a cool N2.5 billion every year! Iheanacho recently signed a new two-year contract extension which will keep him at City until 2021.

According to African Football, his new contract guarantees him a weekly wage of £85,000 which is the highest for any Nigerian player. This amounts to approximately N2.5 billion every year, at current exchange rate. However, the amount may still increase given the rate at which the naira is sliding in the forex market.

This new wage takes him above Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi who earns £75, 000 weekly at Stamford Bridge.

Highest earning Nigerian players in the Premier League.

1. Kelechi Iheanacho: £85, 000
2. John Mikel Obi :£75, 000
3. Victor Moses : £50, 000
4. Odion Ighalo : £25, 000
5. Kenneth Omeruo : £15, 000
